Move & Soothe
@ Margate Yoga Studio
Join Jodie Cole for an afternoon of playful moving to music followed by a soothing yin yoga session.
Jodie is a choreographer, movement facilitator, survivor, and thriver. Alongside her choreographic career she has spent over 20 years exploring ways to heal through movement and this workshop is a chance to join her, as she shares the ways in which she comes back to herself in times of challenge, as well as harnessing moments of joy through play.
We will spend the afternoon warming up, exploring playful ways into moving with music, reflecting through writing or drawing, and finally resting, to let it all percolate.
Jodie is an expert in inclusive movement, dance, and play, and with tasks designed to free up the critical mind, she will have you moving with music, free of self judgment, in no time.

OPEN PRACTICE
Open Practice is inspired by Wainsgate Dances. Adult self-led movement. Do your own thing in the company of others, with a playlist of eclectic tunes.
“The fear of being a bad dancer stops many of us dancing. The day-to-day art of moving to music is not about quantifiable excellence; it's about coming as you are and contributing to the dancefloor. So if you ever worry about being a useless dancer - don't. We bring what we have, and we have to start somewhere. If you're dancing, you're a dancer". Emma Warren, Dance Your Way Home
